The fuel filters on your vehicle as well as the fuel water separator are designed to keep any particulates, debris, any of the things that you don't want, contaminants, outta your fuel system from reaching the engine. Your water separator's gonna be closer near the tank, and that's gonna be the first line of defense. Inside of there, there is a particulate filter that will collect dirt, debris, dust, as well as moisture. more

PTC Custom Fit Engine Oil Filter Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 3500- Video

Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 we're going to be installing PTC's custom fit engine oil filter. Prior to doing your oil change and replacing your oil filter, it is recommended that you get your oil up to operating temperature because one: hot oil is thinner so it will drain more of the oil out than if it is thicker, cooler oil. Additionally, I like to pop the top off the oil fill cap because that will allow air to go in as the oil drains out preventing any vroom, vroom, vroom, gurgling out of your drain pan. This will also let more of the oil come out so you're getting the most of the old oil out and putting fresh oil in.We're now underneath of our Sierra. Here's our oil pan located here. If you go just to the left of the oil pan and straight up above our drive shaft if you have a four wheel drive model, you'll find your oil filter there. more
